Stories From Honda Express Owners

Hi, i got a Honda Express for more than 5 years now. I bought it for R1000 from a family member. Its still 99% original and spotless, I only redone the seat with black final. I have spend more than R4000 on the bike already but it was every cent worth it. It is still 100% in working condition and I think the clock was clocked twice already.

That's more than 24000 km

Hello Pierre

What a wonderful website !!!

My name is Mel Lotz , I live in the Constantia area and have recently bought a little Express from a friend David Devey for R200. It belonged to his wife who bought it new in 1980. She rode it to work from Sea point to the City for many few years back then. Their 2 sons and various friends all grew up playing with it in the Tokai area over the years and it ended up collecting dust in the garage.

I recently asked him to sell it to me and he was very happy to get it out of the way for the price of a meal out for Debbie and himself. My son Matthew who is a 22yr old Stellies 3 rd student and I went over and collected it in my Combi and brought it home and within an hour we had cleaned it up ,emptied the tank, (it hadn't run for about 6years ) stripped and cleaned the carb and air filter, cleaned the plug, pumped up the tyres re-ssembled it , filled the tank with fresh petrol, wound it up and it fired up first time. Amazing little thing. The speedo still works and reads a genuine 5213 klms and the motor sounds perfect.

My son Matt who has a Kawasaki 650 KLR , a Bajaj ( Vespa type ) scooter amongst his collection of vehicles wants to take it back to Stellies because it so cool for zipping around campus on.
